The cvasi-rival of AMD's Radeon HD 3850, the 256Mb version of the GeForce 8800 GT is practically here and given its more affordable price manufacturers are starting to showcase their offers and advertise them as a 'Bang for Buck' award winners. Until that happens it is announcement time and now we have MSI's GeForce 8800 GT models, two 256 MB cards that are priced at and under $200.

Both the NX8800GT-T2D256E and the NX8800GT-T2D256E-OC are based on Nvidia's reference design but have an ATI-theme to them as they have a red PCB. Still, they are all Nvidia, the first clocked at stock speeds - 600/1800 MHz for the core and memory while the latter is factory overclocked and set to 660 MHz (core), 1650 MHz (shader) and 1900 MHz (memory). Now hopefully we'll see enough of these in stores.
