Despite the fact that it already has about four Radeon HD 4870 models in its offer, Asus has been hard at work on yet another high-end card based around one RV770 GPU. Known as EAH4870 D5, the card has a red PCB, 512MB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 3600 MHz (stock frequency), a GPU set to 750 MHz (also stock) and a PCI-Express 2.0 interface. Since none of those specs are special in any way Asus has equipped the card with a 4+2 phase power, all-solid capacitors, and the Glaciator Fansink which should provide more efficient (and quiet) cooling than the reference solution.

The 800 Stream Processor-boasting EAH4870 D5 also has dual-DVI connectivity but has yet to receive an official release date or a price tag.
