Project Natal is the name Microsoft uses for a "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience" that the company will use in the future to the Xbox 360. But it looks like other divisions in Microsoft might use this platform as well.

Bill Gates said that ““..I think there's incredible value as we use that in the office connected to a Windows PC. So Microsoft research and the product groups have a lot going on there, because you can use the cost reduction that will take place over the years to say, why shouldn't that be in most office environments." He also commented that Project Natal is being commercialized for Windows as well as the Xbox 360.

We don’t know what to expect at the moment, can you imagine Windows OS coming with Natal technology? We could work in front of the computer in the same way Tom Cruise did in “Minority Report”. Our finger will work as a cursor. What we can only guess at the moment is that that Microsoft will be the first company to design an operating system that works with full motion sensing.
