Adobe has updated its
Acrobat.com hosted apps service with an all-new user interface, as well as mobile access features that are designed to enhance a user's productivity and collaborative abilities.
The rich internet applications firm said it has incorporated over 35 customer-suggested features into the new version of the site, a platform which is ultimately Adobe’s attempt to offer users access to an online file organiser, office applications, PDF creation and web meeting tools.
Support is included for Flickr and Google images for fleshing out online presentations, as well as Kuler colour scheme integration and more.
The new mobile app from scanR allows users to upload from smartphone to
Acrobat.com and read and share stored files on the mobile devices. Users of the free service will be able to send two outbound faxes and upload up to five documents from a mobile phone. An upgrade is available for users that need to fax or upload more documents.
"Acrobat.com is about taking advantage of the Web’s ability to connect people in new and powerful ways," said Rick Treitman, product management director.
"Adobe’s online tools give people the advantage of working together from anywhere, and from virtually any device. This release of Acrobat.com is another step in helping people collaborate and communicate with ease and flexibility."
